Welcome to Mission Valley
A rapidly growing community that is coming of age
Conveniently located in the center of San Diego County, the area is within a 10-minute drive of the San Diego Zoo, beaches, and the Downtown Gaslamp District, and offers a wealth of accommodations, family-friendly dining options and great shopping at both the Fashion Valley and Mission Valley malls. Mission Valley was named after California’s first Spanish mission, San Diego de Alcalá, established in 1769 and still operating here as a Catholic parish in a reconstructed building. This neighborhood also has an 18 hole golf course and has SDCCU Stadium, home to San Diego State’s football team. There has been a 3 billion dollar investment in Mission Valley to create a medium and high density housing that mixes seamlessly with shopping, office buildings, and public transit.
